Mission-Critical Infrastructure Testing

Data centers represent the most demanding environment for network cabling infrastructure. High port densities, stringent uptime requirements, and continuous technology evolution create unique certification challenges.

Whether you operate an enterprise data center, a colocation facility, or a hyperscale environment, proper cable certification protects your investment and ensures reliable network operation.

We understand data center operations and work within your change management processes to minimize disruption while delivering comprehensive documentation.

Data Center Challenges

  • High connector density
  • 24/7 operational requirements
  • Parallel optic configurations
  • Change management protocols
  • Rigorous documentation

Data Center Fiber Certification

Single-Mode (OS2)

Data center interconnect applications connecting buildings or carrier meet-me rooms. Tested at 1310nm and 1550nm with full OTDR documentation.

Multimode (OM3/OM4)

Within-building connectivity for switch-to-server connections. OM4 preferred for modern 100G deployments. Complete wavelength testing.

MPO/MTP High-Density

Multi-fiber interfaces supporting 8, 12, or 24 fibers. Individual fiber pair testing and polarity verification for Base-8 or Base-12 patterns.

Data Center Copper Certification

Category 6A Testing: Supports 10GBASE-T at 100 meters for management networks and out-of-band access. Full alien crosstalk measurements verify high-density installations.

Category 8 Testing: Highest-performance copper supporting 25GBASE-T and 40GBASE-T over 30 meters. Designed for switch-to-server connections with 2000 MHz certification.

Both categories include alien crosstalk testing essential for data center cable densities.

Minimal Disruption Testing

Data center certification requires operational awareness beyond technical testing competence. We work within your processes:

  • Schedule testing during approved maintenance windows
  • Coordinate with operations staff and follow procedures
  • Understand hot-aisle/cold-aisle configurations
  • Follow cable management requirements
  • Respect rack access and security procedures
  • Bring all required equipment to minimize trips
  • Integrate with DCIM systems for documentation
